To the Millis & Wood Families!    Time has flown as usual, but July 19th is our reunion!    I hope you are planning on attending again.    Come one and all!    Facebook pictures and notes show that all had a great time.    We are praying for good weather for the day and for safe traveling here for our out of towners.    Many are coming from the east and from the west.   Barbecue chicken will again be on the menu.

If any members can't come, could those that do bring pictures of your immediate family?   (So we scan them to add into the web site.)    We can take the family picture after dinner.   I am excited that most of my immediate family will be here and look forward to seeing as many of yours who can join us!

Thanks for all the work done by so many of you last time to make it a successful family reunion.    Looking forward to our time together July 2014!

Call Shirley to order the # of halves of barbequed chicken you want for your family.    The charge at this time is $6 per chicken half.   Please have your order in by July 11th.

Bring the usual - your good humour, a dish to pass, your own beverages, and your own dinnerware.    If you have folding chairs, it would help to bring those also to add to our seating!    If you have photographs of your family who cannot make it, please bring those to add into our NEW Family Directory With Photos!!

The Millis Wood Family Directory needs updating as usual.    Please share with your extended families and let us know of any changes or corrections ASAP so we can print and make available the final directory at our next reunion.   Perhap someone in each family could give a written update on your kids, grandkids, etc. and we can also include this in a final email prior to the reunion.    Contact US to receive in person or by mail our most recent publication of the Millis & Wood Family Directory.

Please review your latest private family Directory and call us and/or use the Contact Us form to note any address, phone or email changes we need to make before the final printing.

We are looking for more pictures to add to our Photo Gallery in progress.    Do you have pictures of loved ones in the family to add to our photo gallery?    MIS Note: Please ensure persons photographed in your gallery have given their permission for website view!!

We are saddened at the death of Joel Wood on June 29, 2012 after battling cancer for the past few years.    We have fond memories and blessings from his life here.   Our sympathies go out to his wife Mary, daughter Julie, sons Jamie and Jonathan, and brother Tim and all their families.    Please pray for them.   We do miss him.

Wow!!  Building this web site has been a walk into the past for me.   It may become one for you as well, which, I trust will be a good thing.   After all, it is written we should "remember" ... "It is He who remembered us in our low estate, for his steadfast love endures forever; (Psalm 136:23)"

I originally offered Mother the site as a way to provide you with a link to our family reunion gatherings.     But past thoughts can blossom into future ones and now there are in my view 3 main things we can build upon and provide here...

• A way to keep current with family news & events and also prayer needs (we know Mother is a warrior).
• A place to share our cherished family pictures and also eventually add these into the directory itself.
• A place to share the heart-spoken/written words of our ancestors and ourselves for posterity.

So please keep the above in mind and contact me with your ideas and/or info from your own archives which can be added in for the good of all and so let us keep building!
